The coach was already pressured in recent weeks by the negative results. In the last 12 rounds of the English Championship, the Liverpool team lost nine times. In addition, Everton occupies the 19th and penultimate position on the leaderboard with only 15 points from 20 matches.
Lampard arrived at the club in January 2022, with the aim of saving the team from relegation. Despite having reached his goal last season, the coach was unable to repeat the team’s performance in this edition of the Premier League. The Englishman leaves the team with 44 matches played, with 12 wins, eight draws and 24 defeats.
Everton have yet to officially comment on the dismissal and have not announced who will replace Lampard for the remainder of the season.
