“Gradually, thank the doctors, the situation is beginning to improve. Of course, it is still very early to talk about a complete victory, but the dynamics of the analyzes at the moment is positive!” – said the interlocutor of “Lenta.ru”.
Earlier, the honored coach of Russia in figure skating, Alexander Zhulin, suggested that going to the bathhouse provoked the development of the disease in Kostomarov. “He just coughed, there was no particular temperature. I skated all these programs, went to the bath – and the bath, most likely, aggravated this moment, ”said Zhulin.
On January 19, it became known that Kostomarov’s condition was improving. It was noted that doctors are thinking about disconnecting the skater from the blood oxygenation machine (ECMO).
The hospitalization of Kostomarov became known on January 10. The Olympic champion was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B. Later, the athlete’s father announced the transfer of his son to a hospital in Kommunarka.
