Daria Karpina, the wife of the head coach of Rostov and the Russian national football team Valery Karpin, spoke about the attitude towards Russians in Estonia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the specialist’s wife, all her friends and relatives living in the Baltic country are ethnic Russians. “Everyone works, some even officials. As far as I hear from them, no one feels any pressure, ”said Karpina. She also noted that, speaking Russian in Tallinn, she does not feel negative.
On January 3, the MTU Jalgpallihaigla fan association criticized the publication of a photograph in which Karpin was with the captain of the Estonian national team Konstantin Vasiliev, midfielder Sergei Zenev, ex-player Andrey Stepanov, assistant head coach Andres Oper and others. After that, the Estonian football players apologized for the picture.
Karpin is a native of the Estonian city of Narva. His wife Daria was also born there.
