Ural President Grigory Ivanov called the consequences of the refusal of the Bulgarian Levski from a friendly match with the Russian team. It is reported by “Match TV”.
According to him, the Bulgarians will most likely have to pay a penalty for disrupting the game. “We signed a contract with them. Now they will most likely – I don’t know what it will look like – will pay penalties. There is a clause in the contract,” Ivanov said.
The refusal of “Levski” to play with “Ural” became known on January 20. The Bulgarian club also did not play a game with another team of the Russian Premier League – Spartak Moscow.
On February 28 last year, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations excluded Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. The teams do not play in European competitions, and the Russian team has lost the opportunity to compete for reaching the finals of the 2022 World Cup.
