Russian Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov scores 100th NHL goal
Russian striker “Minnesota Wild” Kirill Kaprizov scored the 100th puck in the regular championships of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported on the league website.
It took 25-year-old Kaprizov 180 matches to reach this mark. He became one of only five active hockey players in the league who managed to score the first 100 goals in less than 200 games. For the Russian, this puck was the 26th in the 2022/2023 season.
Kaprizov achieved this figure in a match against the Carolina Hurricanes, in which he hit the opponents’ goal once. The meeting ended with the score 5:2 in favor of Carolina. Two assists from Russian striker Andrey Svechnikov helped the team win.
Kaprizov has been playing for Minnesota since 2020. In his debut season, the Russian was recognized as the best newcomer in the NHL.
