After signing a pre-contract with the Flamengo, goalkeeper Augustín Rossi will no longer play for Boca Juniors. The 27-year-old signed a six-month loan deal with Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, before joining the Gávea club. The information was given by the Argentine newspaper olé.
All trading took place in the last 48 hours. The athlete, who still has a contract with Boca Juniors until June, was on tour in the United Arab Emirates when he signed his loan to the Saudi team. Rossi was away from his club and probably would not play again until he arrived at Flamengo.
To arrange the signing of the goalkeeper, Al-Nassr offered around 1.5 million dollars (R$ 7.8 million at current prices) to the Argentines. The proposal is about three times greater than what Flamengo offered to have the player in January.
Boca Juniors’ holder in the last Argentine Championship title, Rossi arrived at the Buenos Aires team in 2017. After a few loans, the goalkeeper consolidated himself as the team’s number one after Andrada’s departure. In 151 games for the club, the athlete was without conceding goals in 72 opportunities.
