$12.7 million stolen from Usain Bolt’s investment company account

Eight-time Olympic track and field champion Usain Bolt lost $12.7 million. It is reported by the Daily Mail.

Fraudsters allegedly stole money from the athlete’s account with the Jamaican investment company Stocks and Securities Limited. The missing funds were discovered on January 11. Now the company is conducting an audit and so far refuses to comment. About 12 thousand dollars remained on the sprinter’s account.

Bolt’s lawyers gave Stocks and Securities Limited an ultimatum. The company must return the money to the Jamaican within ten days. Otherwise, the side of the athlete promises to go to court.

The theft of money from Bolt on January 13 was reported by the athlete’s manager Nugent Walker. Then he refused to name the exact amount.

In August 2017, Bolt retired from athletics. Then the Jamaican made attempts to become a professional football player, but in January 2019 he finally announced his retirement from the sport. Bolt is an eight-time Olympic champion and 11-time world champion in running. His fortune is estimated at 90 million dollars.
