Coach O’Leary talks about exercising five minutes a day to improve physical fitness
Pilates trainer Helen O’Leary has revealed ways to improve your fitness in five minutes a day. Her words are quoted by The Guardian.
To strengthen posture, O’Leary recommends the following exercise: “Lie on your stomach, keep your arms along your torso. Raise your head and chest slightly off the floor, and, on the contrary, press your pelvis. In this position, start pushing off the floor on your hands. Lock into a position where your lower ribs are still touching the floor. Exhale and lower yourself back to the starting position.
The trainer considered twisting as a basic exercise for the press. “Lie on your back, bend your knees, feet flat on the floor. Tighten your core muscles to lift your head and shoulders off the floor. In the top position, lock for a second, then return to the starting position, ”says O’Leary.
According to O’Leary, five minutes a day is enough to form a habit and see results. The trainer recommends doing the exercises several times a week.
Previously, fitness instructor Jenny Francis-Townson talked about five options for effective 20-minute workouts outside the gym. She noticed that cleaning, gardening, walking at a fast pace and dancing to your favorite music, as well as body weight exercises, are suitable as a workout.
