Olympique de Marseille beats Rennes 1-0 to reach the last 16 of the French Cup

Olympique de Marseille qualified for the last 16 of the Coupe de France by beating Rennes 1-0 on Friday at the Velodrome stadium, extending their winning streak across all competitions to eight.

In front of 57 thousand fans, Matteo Guendouzi scored the only goal of the match after a great play by Jordan Veretout, in the 14th minute of the second half.

Olympique de Marseille last won the French Cup in 1989. In the current season, the team has shown itself to be very solid after being eliminated in the Europe Champions Leaguewhich allowed us to concentrate our energies on national competitions.
