UFC fighter Belal Muhammad criticized Khamzat Chimaev for wanting to draw attention to himself
American mixed style fighter (MMA) Belal Muhammad compared the Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev with the Irishman Conor McGregor. Muhammad’s words are quoted by the BEST of MMA YouTube channel.
“In my opinion, Khamzat is becoming like Conor, who constantly writes all sorts of crap and waits for people to react to it,” the American criticized the fighter. He added that Chimaev’s words about the unwillingness of other athletes to fight him were said only in order to draw attention to themselves. Muhammad noted that both he and the Brazilian Paulo Costa challenged the Swede to fight.
On December 26, Chimaev announced that representatives of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) did not want to organize his fight with the Brazilian promotion champion Alex Pereira. He also said that he was offered four more rivals from different countries, but none of them eventually agreed to sign a contract.
Chimaev has been in the UFC since 2020. In total, in his professional career, the Swede won 12 victories without suffering a single defeat.
