The head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White appreciated the victory of the Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Umar Nurmagomedov at the UFC Vegas 67 tournament. A press conference with his participation is available on the promotion’s YouTube channel.
“He is ready to fight anyone we offer him. I like his approach, I admire this kid, ”White said and added that he likes it when fighters often go into the octagon. He noted that Umar, the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov, is ready to give the next fight in March, but it will be difficult to find an opponent for him.
Earlier, Nurmagomedov defeated the Brazilian Raoni Barcelos ahead of schedule in the first tournament. The meeting ended with a knockout in the first round.
In total, in his professional career, Nurmagomedov won 16 victories and did not suffer a single defeat. Barcelos has 17 wins and four losses.
