Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed his brother Umar before the fight with the Brazilian Barcelos in the UFC
Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov has reached out to his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov to face Brazilian Raoni Barcelos. The athlete spoke on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).
Nurmagomedov published a joint photo with Umar, making a signature in Russian and English. “Diamonds are made under pressure. Time to shine, brother,” he said.
Umar Nurmagomedov will fight Barcelos on the night of January 15th. The fight will take place in Las Vegas at the UFC Fight Night 217 tournament. For the 27-year-old Russian, this fight will be the fourth in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The last time the Russian went into the octagon on June 26, 2022 at the UFC tournament in Las Vegas. Then he defeated the American Nate Maness by unanimous decision of the judges.
Nurmagomedov won 15 victories in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. Barcelos has 17 wins and three losses.
