In the next round, which will be after the FIFA Date, Arsenal will visit Liverpool, on November 20th, at 2:30 pm (GMT). Watford, in turn, receives Manchester United, on the same day, at 12:00 pm (GMT).
The game – In the first half, the hosts hit the net after seven minutes, with Bukayo Saka. However, the goal was nullified by an offside in the play.
At 34, Danny Rose of Watford committed a penalty. Aubameyang went for the kick, hit the left corner, but goalkeeper Ben Foster made a great save.
At 44, Brazilian Gabriel Magalhães had another good chance for Arsenal. The defender rose high after a corner kick to head, but stopped in defense of the goalkeeper.
In the second stage, at 11 minutes, Mikel Arteta’s team opened the scoring. Smith Rowe got a rebound at the entrance to the area and sent a shot in the right corner to shake the nets.
In the 29th minute, Aubameyang pushed the ball inside after a move by Odegaard, but the offside was called, canceling out what would have been Arsenal’s second goal.
Watford tried pressure in the final minutes in search of a draw. However, at 44, Juraj Kucka committed a foul and received a second yellow card, consequently being sent off.
