Ancelotti admits Real Madrid difficulty in derby

Or Real Madrid won the derby 2-1 at home against Rayo Vallecano and became provisional leader of the Spanish LaLiga, this Saturday, for the 13th round, in which Barcelona lost a three-goal lead and ended up drawing 3-3 with Celta de Vigo.

German Toni Kroos (14 minutes) and French Karim Benzema (38) scored for the ‘merengue’ team in the first half. Colombian Radamel Falcao dropped to Rayo at 76, but Vallecano’s team couldn’t go further in their reaction, despite pressure.

“They could have equalized at the end, but the three points are deserved. It’s normal to be a little scared if they score a goal at the end in this type of game,” said Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Benzema, now with 10 goals, consolidates his lead in the top scorers in the Spanish league, with three goals ahead of his most direct pursuers (Raúl de Tomás do Espanyol and his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr).
