Celta de Vigo, commanded by Eduardo Coudet, who had a brief spell at Internacional, drew a draw against Barcelona this Saturday after being down 3-0. The Argentine coach valued the team’s reaction in the second half and said he is proud .
“Very proud. We had personality, confidence and will. We had to believe in the break, without giving up good football. Football was punishing us a lot and at some point it had to reward us,” said the coach.
Coudet also highlighted Iago Aspas, who scored two of Celta’s three goals, being a draw in the match’s additions.
“We never stopped believing in Iago. The fans too. His second half was impressive. It’s not easy to have a love relationship with this club like he has and not feel comfortable,” he said.
With the result, Celta de Vigo is in 14th place in the Spanish table, with 12 points. Barcelona is in ninth position, with 17.
