Ankalaev’s coach Sukhrab Magomedov said he does not see opponents for him in the UFC
The coach of the Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Magomed Ankalaev Sukhrab Magomedov spoke about the possible rivals of the ward in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by Metaratings.
Magomedov said that at the moment he does not see any opponents for Ankalaev from among the representatives of the promotion. The specialist considered the Russian fighter the favorite of a possible confrontation with former UFC champion Jiri Prochazka. “Knock him down and he’s ready. Can’t do anything,” Magomedov summed up.

On December 15, Ankalaev entered the top three UFC light heavyweight fighters, displacing Pole Jan Blachowicz from the third line. The second place goes to the Brazilian Glover Teixeira, the first is Prochazka.
On December 11, Ankalaev and Blachowicz fought for the UFC light heavyweight title. The fight lasted five rounds and ended in a draw. The Russian fighter did not agree with the referee’s decision and threatened to leave the promotion. UFC head Dana White criticized Ankalaev for his passivity in the first rounds of the fight.
Before meeting with Blachowicz, Ankalaev won nine consecutive victories in the UFC. In total, the 30-year-old native of Dagestan has 17 wins and one loss in professional MMA.
