Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren says contract to fight Usyk agreed
British boxer Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren said that his client’s contract for the fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk has been agreed. Warren’s words are quoted by Boxing Scene.
“I see a great desire on both sides to have this fight. The only question is how much and where. They are a pleasure to deal with and they want to see things through to the end,” Warren said. The promoter added that the fight would most likely take place in March 2023, but the venue has yet to be determined.
On December 20, Usyk’s manager Oleksandr Krasyuk said that the fight with Fury would take place no later than March 4. Krasyuk claimed that the location of the fight is still unknown.
The 35-year-old Usyk has 20 victories in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
The 34-year-old Fury has 33 wins and no losses, one more fight with his participation ended in a draw. He owns the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.
