Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri made his debut for Manchester United this Tuesday against Charlton and received praise from the team’s coach, Erik Ten Hag.
“I see a future in him and he is doing very well. I was very happy with his performance at the World Cup, his progress is very good,” said the Dutch coach.
Pellistri arrived at United in 2020 from Peñarol and had never played for the club’s first team. During that period he accumulated two loans to La Liga side Alaves. However, the athlete won a chance in the Manchester team after starting Uruguay in the World Cup.
He entered the field from the bench, in the second half, and managed to assist for Rashford’s goal, the team’s second in the game. The match ended 3-0 for the Red Devils at home.
