The Vinotinto will measure the Tricolor on November 11, in Quito, and will host Peru on the 16th in Caracas, on the 13th and 14th dates of the Qatar 2022 tie.
Toronto FC midfielder Yeferson Soteldo was left out of the Announcement of the Venezuelan national team for the matches against Ecuador and Peru for the South American qualifiers for Qatar 2022, the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) reported on Thursday.
To the call forward Salomón Rondón returns, of the English Everton, after not being summoned for the three preceding games, the FVF detailed on its Twitter account where, in a brief message, it announced that the Vinotinto will be directed, again on an interim basis, by Leonardo González.
The coach took the reins of the selection after the resignation of Portuguese José Peseiro, who had not received his salary for more than a year.
The coach was initially appointed to face the playoff games in September the Qatar 2022 World Cup against Argentina, Peru and Paraguay; and he repeated on the Venezuelan bench in the duels against Brazil, Ecuador and Chile.
In those games, he has reaped five defeats and one victory against Ecuador.
For the next two games against Ecuador and Peru, González will have goalkeeper Wuilker Faríñez, from France’s Racing Club de Lens.
