THE Liverpool faced Wolverhampton this Saturday, for the third round of the FA Cup, and had no facilities. Jurgen Klopp, coach of the team, acknowledged the underperformance and stated that the Reds deserved nothing more than a draw.

At Anfield, the home team struggled and were close to defeat. For Klopp, one of his team’s failures was in tackles. The German considered that his players lost duels that they could not have asked for.
“The goal we scored was exceptional and we played some good balls, some good situations, where we played in their formation. But throughout the game I thought we didn’t get enough tackles, to be honest. There were a lot of situations where I thought we would win the tackles and suddenly we were wide open. We had two or three players going after the ball to split and when it’s like this you have to win the ball, if you don’t win and they (the opponents) escape it seems something like ‘where are they them?'”, analyzed Klopp.
With the draw, Liverpool will have to face Wolverhampton once again, this time away from home, to define who will advance to the next stage of the FA Cup. The team’s coach did not seem satisfied with the idea, since according to him there were conditions to decide the classification this Saturday. Still, Klopp acknowledged the result was fair.
“I know where I’m coming from, but the situation is that we could play extra time, or a penalty shootout, and the game would be decided tonight. So, today we deserved nothing more than a draw and all the consequences of that, which in this case is an extra game, so that’s fine. I have no problem with that”, he said.
Liverpool returns to the field this Saturday, at 12h (Brasília time), against Brighton, for the 20th round of the English Championship. In the competition, the Reds occupy sixth place, with 28 points, and are looking to enter the G4 for the first time this season.
