Ovechkin almost made it to fourth place on the list of the best snipers in the NHL

Russian Washington Capitals striker Alexander Ovechkin scored in the National Hockey League regular season match against the Florida Panthers. The results are available on the tournament website.

Center striker Wayne Gretzky, who scored 894 goals, is considered the best NHL scorer in history, Gordy Howe – 801 goals and Jaromir Jagr – 766 in the top three.

The Capitals were defeated by Florida in overtime. The meeting ended with a score of 4: 5. Washington are fourth in the Eastern Conference league table with 14 points in ten games. Florida is leading with 19 points.
