Itxaso, on the announcement of the TAV: “I am not going to generate noise that tarnishes good news”

The delegate of the Spanish Government in Euskadi has not wanted to “enter the controversy” after the complaints of the mayors of Basauri and Bilbao and insists that “the underground arrival of the train has never been questioned”

The delegate of the Spanish Government in Euskadi, Denis Itxaso, has insisted that he will not “generate noise that tarnishes good news”, in reference to the announcement of the arrival of the TAV to Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, with a definitive underground station but provisional solutions, in Basauri the first of them.

Despite being asked repeatedly about the anger of the mayors of Basauri and Bilbao for not knowing the announcement beforehand, Itxaso has reiterated that it is “good news for Euskadi”, and that it is not “a fight for the limelight”. In an interview offered to the “Boulevard” program on Radio Euskadi, the socialist leader stressed that “the underground arrival of the train has never been questioned.”
