Although the Australian Open is still two weeks away, the tennis world is already boiling. Aryna Sabalenka, who was caught lying, contributed to this. An additional problem is the fact that she missed the truth in an interview with the official WTA portal. The fifth racket of the world concealed her trip to Russia for training.
Fun in the sun
The turn of December and January is the time for the best tennis players in the world to prepare for the first Grand Slam tournament of the season – the Australian Open. A few days ago, Aryna Sabalenka shared information about her training in Dubai, where she was supposed to work on her form in peace.
I took a week off to spend time with my family. Then I started training, I spent the preparatory period in Dubai. I was with the coaches and the team. I had a lot of work. Nothing different compared to previous seasons, it looks the same every year
– said the player in an interview with the official WTA portal.
Verification
As it turned out, that was a lie. The case was publicized by the administrator of the Twitter account “Ukrainian Tenis”, who had access to information about Sabalenka’s training series in Russian Ufa. She was to be accompanied by, for example, talented players of the young generation, for whom seeing the player was a great experience.
The Russian J-Pro academy in Ufa published an article on its website about Sabalenka’s week-long training block in the city, preparing her for the upcoming Australian Open. The tennis player also took part in the award ceremony for the youngest. After some time, the article was deleted.
– we read in one of the tweets.
The Australian Open starts on Monday, January 16. The rivalry on the courts in Melbourne will traditionally last two weeks, and the final matches will be played on January 28 and 29.
