Journalist Lammers advised Russian coach Slutsky to try his hand at stand-up
Dutch journalist Gelderlander Lex Lammers shared his opinion about the Russian coach Leonid Slutsky. His words are quoted by Sport24.
Lammers said he did not understand why Slutsky had not yet found a new club. “Maybe Leonid and his friend Artem Dziuba really should take a break, move away from football and try themselves as stand-up artists,” he advised. At the same time, the journalist noted that Slutsky remains a sought-after specialist in Russia.
On November 15, Rubin, playing in the First League, announced the departure of Slutsky. It was clarified that the coach left the post of head coach of the club of his own free will and had already said goodbye to the team. The reasons why the specialist made such a decision were not reported. He has been working in the Kazan team since 2019.
In 2015-2016, Slutsky headed the Russian national team. He helped the team qualify for Euro 2016, but in the end, the team finished last in Group B and did not reach the playoffs.
