Halvor Egner Granerud became the first leader of the 71st edition of the 4-Hills-Tournament. The Norwegian won the first of four competitions and automatically took the lead in the general classification of the event. In Oberstdorf, Germany, two representatives of Poland – Piotr Żyła and Dawid Kubacki – ranked just behind his back.
Granerud is the first TCS leader. He won in Oberstdorf
The individual places in the general classification of the 4-Hills-Tournament are determined by the sum of the points for all competition jumps. Unlike the Raw Air tournament, qualifier results are not taken into account. Places occupied also do not matter – unlike in the case of the World Cup. The general classification of the tournament is therefore the same as the final results of the competition in Oberstdorf.

Excellent places of Poles. Żyła and Kubacki on the podium
Piotr Żyła is ranked the highest among Poles. The Wiślanin finished the struggle at Schattenbergschanze in second place and is exactly the same in the tournament classification. The leader of the World Cup and the TCS winner from the 2019/20 season – Dawid Kubacki finished third. Graneruda Żyła loses 13.4 points to the leader. Kubacki’s loss is already 17.5 points. The top 30 also includes Kamil Stoch, who ranks 9th, and Pawe Wsek (19th). The other two Poles – Stefan Hula and Jan Habdas are ranked 48th and 49th respectively. Both jumpers did not advance to the final series and received points for the TCS classification for only one jump.
Anze Lanisek failed on the other hand. The runner-up in the overall World Cup classification was mentioned among the favorites to triumph in the TCS. However, the competition in Oberstdorf did not go his way. He took 10th place. His loss to Graneruda is as much as 45 points. The Slovene thus practically crossed out his chances of winning the tournament.
