Coach Karpin named the best player of 2022 in the RPL striker “Spartak” Promes
The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin named the best football player of 2022 in the Russian Premier League (RPL). It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The specialist put the forward of the Moscow “Spartak” Quincy Promes in the first place. Also in the top five of the coach were the players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” Malcolm, Vilmar Barrios, forward Vladimir Sychevoj from “Orenburg” and goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from “Krasnodar”.
Promes has played 16 games for Spartak this season, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists. He returned to the team in February 2021. Prior to that, the striker played for the red-and-whites from 2014 to 2018, becoming the champion of Russia and the owner of the country’s Super Cup with the team.
After 17 matches, Spartak is in second place in the RPL standings with 36 points. Zenit is in the lead with 42 points.
