“It looked like I wanted an autograph from Neymar”, says RB Leipzig coach about referee

RB Leipzig sought a 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, with a penalty scored in the final minutes of the match and converted by Dominik Szoboszlai. Even so, the German team’s coach, Jesse Marsch, did not spare the referee of the game from criticism, citing Neymar.

“I was irritated with the referee’s performance from the first minute. You always see the big clubs being respected by the referees, to the detriment of the smaller ones. What changes is that sometimes I can’t hide my emotions. get a little respect. At various times, it looked like the referee wanted an autograph from Neymar after the game,” said the coach.

“Of course, it was nice to have Mbappé, Neymar and Di María here in Leipzig, but let us have a normal game where we can say ‘it was fair’. Even the second penalty, which was clear, had to be confirmed in the VAR.” added.

RB Leipzig returns to the field in the Champions League against Club Brugge, on November 24th. On the same day, PSG duels with Manchester City.
