Toluca drew 1-1 with América and signed their pass to the final of the Apertura 2022 tournament of Mexican soccer by taking the semifinal series 3-2, with a performance by Ecuadorian midfielder Jordan Sierra.
In the second leg of the semifinal of the LigaMXJorge Torres Nilo scored for Toluca of the technician Ignacio Ambriz. Alejandro Zendejas discounted for the Eagleswhich when finishing as the leader of the regular phase classification was the favorite to be the Apertura champion.
The one-way duelplayed last Wednesday, ended 2-1 in favor of Tolucasixth in the first round, for which Ambriz’s team won the series 3-2.

This Sunday the other finalist will be defined when the Rayados del Monterreywho were second in the regular phase, host the fourth-placed Tuzos del Pachuca at the BBVA stadium in the second leg of this semifinal series.
In the first leg, the Uruguayan strategist Guillermo Almada’s Pachuca won 5-2; a draw after the two games would give Monterrey a pass for the best position in the table. (D)
