The Spanish Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) obtained the pole position of Formula 1 United States Grand Prixin which his compatriot Fernando Alonso signed the ninth fastest time, although in his case he has a pending penalty.
Sainz completed the 5,513 meters of the Austin track in 1:34.356, ahead of his teammate, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, and two-time world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull).
Leclerc (Ferrari) will lose ten positions on the starting grid due to changes in his car, Fernando Alonso will lose five places and the Mexican Sergio will have the same punishment Czech Pérez (Red Bull) and the Chinese Zhou Guanyu (Alfa Romeo).
