Moroccan invasion of Qatar. France in the minority

The Morocco national team is the biggest revelation of the World Cup in Qatar. The Moroccans left the group in which they faced m.in. with Croatia and Belgium. In the 1/8 finals they defeated Spain on penalties, and in the quarter-finals they defeated the Portuguese. They will play the defending champions France in Wednesday’s semi-final.

Moroccan fans will take over the stadium for the semi-final match

This is probably the most important match in the history of this team. Morocco will not be favorites again. But it will have huge support from the stands. Fans of this team create a great atmosphere in the stadiums. And it will be no different this time. The Moroccan football association has announced that it will distribute 13,000 tickets to fans for the match. Tickets are to be distributed by the Moroccan Embassy in Qatar. As we read in the “Daily Mail”, fans from Morocco also flew 30 flights operated by Royal Air Maroc at promotional prices. The state carrier launched seven additional flights to enable fans to attend last week’s quarter-final against Portugal.

“To enable Moroccans who want to support the national team at its peak and experience the excitement of the World Cup semi-final, Royal Air Maroc has created an air bridge between Casablanca and Doha. The unique and heroic performance of the national team during the 2022 World Cup will forever be etched in the memory Moroccans. A performance achieved in particular thanks to the enthusiasm of the Moroccan crowd, the twelfth contestant,” the airline said in a statement. The airline did not require fans to secure a ticket for the semi-final before flying to Qatar.

“Thousands of Moroccan fans are standing today [tj. we wtorek 13 grudnia – red.] lined up at the Al Janoub Stadium during the sale of tickets for the semi-final. Around 20,000 Moroccan fans are expected to attend tomorrow’s match at the 68,895-seat Al Bayt Stadium, according to the Daily Mail.

The first semi-final will take place on Tuesday at 8 pm. Croatia will play Argentina in it. Live coverage at Sport.pl and the Sport.pl LIVE mobile application.
