Britain imposes sanctions against 12 Russian military leaders

The UK has imposed sanctions on 12 major Russian military leaders, three Iranian businessmen and officials, and one Iranian company in response to Russian strikes on Ukraine’s infrastructure. According to TASS, this is stated in the sanctions list published by the UK Foreign Office.

Restrictive measures, which imply a ban on entry into the UK and freezing of assets in case of their discovery, have been introduced, in particular, in relation to the commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky, the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Colonel General Sergei Karakaev, the head of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mikhail Matveevsky, Nikolai Parshin, head of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Alexander Sanchik, commander of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District, and Major General Robert Baranov, who, according to the British Foreign Office, heads the main computer center of the Russian Armed Forces.
