Both players used their serve well and until the very end of the first set, he was not even close to a break. After the Wroclawian won the game 6:6, it became clear that the tie-break would decide about the victory in the first set. The defeat, however, was determined by the so-called mini break at 2-0 for Fritz. The Pole was unable to make up for it and lost 6:7 (3-7).

Unfortunately, in the second set, the Wroclawian made a few simple mistakes that were of great importance for the fate of this match, including Hurkacz’s break to 5:3. The Polish tennis player showed class and, to the surprise of the audience, equalized at 5:5. Unfortunately for the Pole, the rival was flawless until the end and eventually won 7:5.

The competition in Saudi Arabia will culminate in the grand finale on December 10. 12 tennis players take part in the competition, and the four highest ranked tennis players in the world ranking will start the struggle from the quarter-finals.
