Honored coach of the USSR Tamara Moskvina suggested that figure skater Alina Zagitova switch to pair skating. Her words are quoted by the Telegram channel “Figure Skating on the First”.
“Alina liked it, and she said,“ I would like that! I am now actively campaigning for her to come to St. Petersburg, ”said Moskvina. She invited Zagitova and noted that in life you always need to try something and not refuse.
Earlier, Zagitova recalled the strange rituals she had during her sports career. “I woke up – I had to get up on my left foot. On the ice, I also always got up on the left foot. There were all sorts of crazy superstitions. At the World Championships, I did everything the opposite – and won it, ”she shared.
Zagitova interrupted her sports career in December 2019. The figure skater focused on the work of the host in the Ice Age show, as well as performances in ice shows.
Zagitova is the 2018 Olympic champion. She also won the World Championship and the European Championship.
