The Kremlin appreciated the cancellation of the suspension of Russian boxers

Dmitry Peskov called the cancellation of the suspension of Russian boxers positive news

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov praised the cancellation of the suspension of Russian boxers. His words are quoted by RBC.

The Kremlin spokesman described the news as positive. “This is an additional impetus for our sports authorities to continue their efforts to defend the interests of athletes,” he said. Peskov noted that this is a rare example of a successful struggle for the rights of athletes.

On October 5, it became known that the International Boxing Association (IBA) allowed boxers from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions under the auspices of the organization. Athletes will compete under national flags, and if they win, the national anthem will be played.

In March of this year, the IBA banned the Russians from participating in international tournaments. The organization suspended athletes and officials, including judges, belonging to the national federations of Russia and Belarus.
