Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Vladimir Mineev spoke about going to the draft board after receiving a summons. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“I wasn’t going to run away from the agenda – I called myself and said that I would come. I arrived at the draft board, met with the military commissar, talked, ”said the athlete. He stressed that now he needs to bring documents from the unit in which he served under the contract. The next time Mineev will appear at the military registration and enlistment office on October 5.
On September 25, it became known that Mineev had received a summons. He said that he would go to the military registration and enlistment office, as he belongs to the first category of registration. The athlete received a summons the day before the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, on September 20.
In October 2021, Mineev defeated Magomed Ismailov by knockout at the AMC Fight Nights tournament. He held onto the organization’s middleweight championship belt. In total, Mineev won 16 victories in MMA with a single defeat and one draw.
