Austin FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) announced the signing of the Ecuadorian winger Washington Corozo, a negotiation with the Peruvian Sporting Cristal for a six-month loan.
“The agreement includes a purchase option”, published the MLS box this Wednesday, which adds Corozo (23 years old) after passing through Pumas de la LigaMX, with which he was a finalist in the Concacaf Champions League.

With Pumas, Corozo registered 8 goals in 44 appearances in all his competitions. In the last season, Corozo also made his debut with the Ecuadorian team during the qualifying round for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in the 2-0 win over Paraguay, in Quito.

Along with the announcement of the American team, Sporting Cristal published the transfer of the Ecuadorian for the next six months.
“Sporting Cristal informs to the heavenly family and public opinion in general that we have come to a deal with Austin FC of Major League Soccer for the temporary assignment of the professional footballer Washington Corozo for six months with an option to buy”, published the club in a statement.
Corozo arrived at Cristal at the beginning of the 2020 season and won the title of the League 1, in its first phase.
