A curious fact about the information revealed by OrdensYa is that Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru and Uruguay prefer to order it after 7:00 p.m., while in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Republic The Dominican Republic and Venezuela usually consume chicken between 11:00 and 13:00.

Meanwhile, the importance of chicken in Ecuador is not only summarized in consumption, but also in the industry.

According to figures from the National Corporation of Poultry Farmers of Ecuador (Conave), poultry farming contributes 3% of the gross domestic product (GDP) and 23% of agricultural GDP and represents more than 300,000 jobs.

In 2021 alone, its gross annual production value reached $3.7 billion.

There are 1,414 farms in this country that are dedicated to the production of chicken meat, among them it is possible to produce 480,000 tons of chicken meat, after raising and feeding 255 million chickens.

Ecuador is a country of self-consumption; that is, all the chicken that is produced is consumed internally, which is reflected in the per capita consumption of chicken, which is 27 kilos a year, according to Conave, which seeks to exceed that amount, even more so when the sector was one of the most impacted by the national strike with more than $38 million in losses.
