Midfielder Rodri renewed his contract with Manchester City on Tuesday. The 26-year-old Spaniard has extended the subscription until 2027.
“We’ve had a lot of success since I got here, which is something I’m really proud of. But to be honest, this success made me even hungrier for myself. Once you start winning big titles, you don’t want to stop,” he said.

Rodri’s trajectory within the team led by Pep Guardiola is upward. The midfielder joined the club in 2019 and, in all, has accumulated 151 games in his three seasons at the Etihad.
“Rodri has been exceptional since he arrived,” said Begiristain, Manchester City’s sporting director. “I am very happy that we have signed a new contract. He is an example of what a great professional should be: he lives well, takes care of his body and trains hard. Having a player like that is every coach’s dream, I know Pep loves working with him.”
