President Lukashenko announced the death of 20 Belarusians who fought on the side of Ukraine

In Ukraine, 20 Belarusians were killed, who fought on the side of Kyiv and came under fire from Russian artillery during a special military operation of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a solemn meeting on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

“A few days ago, literally (it happened in Ukraine – ed.). You know, there was already a battalion there, now the regiment “named” Kalinovsky in Ukraine from our fugitives and others. Well, as there were 67 or how many people, it remains. But the battalion does not sound – the regiment, the time has come. They came under fire from Russian artillery. We looked: no, we didn’t want this, we are preparing to return and overthrow the regime here. Came under fire, the battle began. And “chime”. Together with the Ukrainians. There are several dozen of our fugitives and Ukrainians there. Twenty people from our Kalinovsky regiment remained there,” BelTA quotes the Belarusian leader.

He also stated that he ordered the military to target the decision-making centers of the opponents of Minsk.

According to Lukashenka, a few days ago there was an attempt from the territory of Ukraine to strike at military facilities in Belarus. “A little less than a month ago, I ordered the units of the Armed Forces to target, as it is now fashionable to say, decision-making centers in your capitals, with all the ensuing consequences,” the president emphasized.

At the same time, he warned that if the enemy dares to strike at Gomel, the Mozyr Oil Refinery, the airfield in Luninets or Brest, “the answer will be instant, just in one second.” Lukashenka assured that the republic has something to respond to the blows of opponents, and this answer will be tough and decisive.
