The dismembered body of a man was found in some bushes near the Teaone River, south of the city of Esmeraldas. The event was recorded around noon this Saturday, July 9.
The victim was identified as Kevin Landázuri Solis, 25, who would have been reported missing on Friday afternoon, revealed Javier Buitrón, commander of the special police zone.
He murdered his ex-partner, dismembered her and with the help of his mother tried to cook her by putting her in pans and in the refrigerator
Witnesses reported the finding at approximately 11:30. The corpse was face down and the head had been cut off at the neck.
At the moment, it is being investigated if the victim was killed on the spot or if the body was transferred from another place. Due to the rigidity of the corpse, he would have been deceased for several hours.
A relative of Landázuri indicated that he was a merchant and disappeared around 5:00 p.m. on Friday the 8th.
Meanwhile, in another area of Esmeraldas, three men were apprehended this Saturday by the Police in the Cinco Esquinas sector of Isla Piedad, on the banks of the Esmeraldas River.
It is being investigated whether the detainees would be involved in the murder of Andrés Colorado Matamba, which occurred in the Cordero Crespo neighborhood on Friday night. (YO)
