The north manabita canton celebrates 22 years of creation.
Wearing old-fashioned costumes, dozens of groups paraded to publicize Manabi culture at the San Vicente 2021 festival, which took place on the night of Friday, October 29.
The mayor of the town, Rossana Cevallos, together with her daughter Rossangel Rojas, accompanied by a musical band, led the walk along the Leonidas Vega boardwalk to the esplanade of the municipal pier. In that place the guests gathered to participate in a cultural artistic act.
This event is one of the activities programmed by the Municipality of San Vicente with the contribution of institutions, associations and private companies to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the political emancipation of that Manabi canton.
The mayor of the Sucre canton, Íngrid Zambrano, representatives of the beauty of Bahía de Caráquez, Dennise Alcívar, and of San Vicente, Gema Andrade, as well as councilors from both localities, and candidates for beauty queen of the honored canton, delegations of institutions, companies , family groups, municipal officials, older adults from the gerontological center and citizens in general, accompanied the festive event.
The vocal duo Bruno and Valentina, Mariana Mero, Nathy Enríquez and the local youth group Making Mess starred in musical presentations during the event that was broadcast on social networks.
In her speech, the mayor invited to enjoy the festivities responsibly and following the anti-COVID-19 prevention measures.
Last Saturday the 30th, in the esplanade of the ecuavoley field next to the Central Park, a cultural artistic night was held and on Sunday the 31st there was an athletics race that started from the Briceño ring to Los Perales beach. (I)
