Two people were arrested in the El Carmen canton and another in Manta for their alleged participation in attacks against people in those Manabi cities.
In the El Carmen canton, agents captured Bartolo Eduardo CT and Víctor Antonio CV, father and son respectively, for allegedly attacking Jefferson GZ, during a party in the Copalito sector, early Sunday morning.
After the attack, the victim fell unconscious to the ground and was taken to a hospital in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. In that saluld house, the doctors on duty confirmed that Jefferson GZ had cuts on his legs and chest, and his condition was stable. Apparently the attack took place with a knife and a bottle spike.
Despite trying to flee, the Police managed to find the alleged aggressors after learning about their physical characteristics.
23-year-old Ecuadorian Víctor Antonio CV records a history of robbery in 2016, while his father Bartolo Eduardo CT, 65, has so far remained without court records.
Five arrested for the latest violent events in Manabí
The third person arrested for attempted murder was Jonathan Issac RQ, accused of assaulting Yandri José MR with a knife while they shared a meeting last Sunday morning.
The event took place in the neighborhood of 26 de Septiembre in Manta. Upon arrival at that place, personnel from the Police Directorate for Violent Deaths (Dinased) interviewed several family members who were present at the incident. They confirmed that they were sharing alcoholic beverages when the aggression between the two people originated. According to police records, those involved in the lawsuit have a record of receiving stolen objects and robbery.
“Once the collection of evidence and handling of sources was completed, the uniformed men carried out a search on the slopes adjacent to the scene of the events, obtaining the location of the alleged aggressor who tried to enter several homes in his escape plan,” said the Police and added that a knife that was used in the attack was also found.
