The number of districts with an increased class of fire danger in the Irkutsk region “is only increasing.” This was announced on his Telegram channel by the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, adding that the spread of fire is facilitated by increased wind, which “goes through almost the entire region.”
Today in the Irkutsk region there are 20 districts with the fifth class of danger and five with the fourth. 13 forest fires with a total area of 695.5 hectares were recorded in the region in Taishet, Kachug, Nizhneudinsky, Bratsk, Tulunsky districts.
There are three fires in the Bratsk district, the village of Dubynino (forest fire) and the village of Koblyakovo (agricultural fields are burning) are at risk. In the area, the number of liquidation and patrol crews has been increased; if the situation worsens, emergency evacuation of residents is possible.
The Taishet region is preparing to restore power supply, and a decision has been made to preventively disconnect consumers from electricity at wind speeds over 10 m/s. All socially important objects of the district have been transferred to a backup power source.
The regrouping of paratroopers continues, including the delivery of paratroopers to the fire in the Kachug region.
“Most of the fires are localized, but hurricane winds are everywhere,” adds Igor Kobzev. – On my instructions, patrolling has been intensified, 288 people are working, 17 stationary posts, 96 groups. In addition, forestry employees are involved in the work.”
In areas with a difficult situation, supplies of oxygen and personal protective equipment have been updated, additional ambulance teams have been assigned, and a bed fund has been prepared for rapid deployment if necessary. The chief physicians of the hospital were recommended to organize work on cleaning dry vegetation in the areas adjacent to the oxygen storage area.
Earlier, Rosbalt reported on fires that engulfed other regions of Russia, including the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
