During the military special operation in Ukraine, four more natives of the Arkhangelsk region heroically died – Alexander Ronoev from the Leshukonsky district, Nikolai Novikov and Igor Bolshakov from the Shenkursky district and Denis Ekimov from Novodvinsk. According to News29.ru, all four were presented to the Order of Courage posthumously.
The Governor of the region Alexander Tsybulsky expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the fallen soldiers.
Alexander Ronoev from the village of Leshukonskoye did military service in Mirny, then went to serve in the Murmansk region as an ordinary radio telephonist-grenade launcher.
Nikolai Novikov and Igor Bolshakov, natives of the Shenkursky district, served on a contract basis in the Murmansk region. Novikov was an anti-aircraft gunner of an anti-aircraft missile division, Bolshakov was the commander of a motorized rifle squad of a rifle company, he was awarded the medals “Participant in the military operation in Syria”, “For distinction in military service” III degree, “For military prowess” II degree.
Denis Ekimov is a veteran of military operations in Syria. He was a machine gunner and gunner in the parachute division of the Western Military District, then served in Ivanovo.
