Two men of Venezuelan nationality were called to trial for the alleged crime of kidnapping against Michelle Macías, daughter of Adolfo Macías Villamar, alias phytoone of the leaders of the Los Choneros gang, according to police versions.
Together with her they also kidnapped her friend. They were kept in captivity for four days in a mountainous area of Manta.
The incident took place last November, when two young women who were leaving a spa were kidnapped on the western outskirts of Manta, where they were both studying cosmetology.
After the kidnapping, the car in which the young women were taken was burned on the road to Santa Marianita, a resort belonging to this Manabi canton.
Last Wednesday, in the Criminal Judicial Unit of Manta, a hearing was held in which the judge of this unit ordered the dismissal in favor of Juan Carlos GB and Elvis Stuard GB
Jaime González, lawyer for Juan Carlos G., indicated that the judge ordered the dismissal of his client and Elvis G. because there were no elements to be called to trial and his innocence was proven and that the elements of discharges, reports and Others corroborated their state of innocence.
