Jorge Toapanta Franco, who was traveling on a motorcycle, lost his life after colliding with a public transport bus that was traveling in the opposite direction, on the Ballenita-La Libertad road, on the Santa Elena peninsula.
Corporal Segundo Angulo, from the Traffic Commission, reported that it was a head-on collision. Apparently, one of the vehicles invaded the lane and caused the strong impact.
“Here, in the place where the accident took place, there is no hole. (…) Now the investigations will give the result of the responsibility of each one of the vehicles immersed in the accident”, said Angulo.
