In response to the anti-Russian authorities, the Russian Federation may arrange cyber attacks, according to US President Joe Biden. He stated this at a meeting with business representatives, at which the situation in Ukraine was discussed, RBC reports.

Biden expressed the opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin “did not expect” such unity in the sanctions that Western countries imposed in response to the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. “We should wait with caution for what comes next. It is most likely that he uses cyber attacks, ”said the American president.

He also added that the US administration is “ready to help private sector companies with tools and experience.”

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
