The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon under three articles. This was reported on the website of the department.
According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the journalist’s actions show signs of crimes under Part 2 of Art. 354, paragraph “b” part 2 of Art. 282, paragraph “a” part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to unleash an aggressive war; actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of nationality; public dissemination under the guise of reliable reports of knowingly false information about the actions of the armed forces of the Russian Federation).
The Investigative Committee notes that Dmitry Gordon, on the air of Ukrainian television, called for an armed attack on Russia and unleashing a war against it using nuclear weapons. He also publicly called for the destruction of the Russians and disseminated deliberately false information about the actions of the RF Armed Forces. Moreover, Gordon published a video of his speech on his Youtube channel.
Currently, the investigation is conducting an examination of Gordon’s statements and announced their intention to put him on the wanted list.
Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case against the physician Gennady Druzenko, who, on the air of Ukrainian television, called for the castration of captured Russian servicemen.
Recall that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. In response to this decision, sanctions began to be imposed on Russia. The Russian and Ukrainian delegations held a series of talks on the situation. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed the hope that the Russian special operation in Ukraine will end with the signing of comprehensive documents. They will touch upon the issues of the neutral status of Ukraine, security and the law on the Russian language.
