210.00 passengers are expected to leave Guayaquil by bus to various provinces.
About 3,000 buses leave each day from the Guayaquil land terminal. Most of the travelers take advantage of the five holiday days to travel to the spas in the province of Santa Elena.
The bus cooperatives that go to the Peninsula registered long lines this Saturday morning. The buses that left for Montañita, Olón and Salinas were already full, taking advantage of the 100% capacity that was approved by the national COE.
There are a total of 88 transport cooperatives that are operating, taking travelers to all parts of the country.
But other highly requested destinations are: Manabí, Pichincha, Los Ríos, Esmeraldas and Azuay, but as there is damage on the road to Cuenca, the buses have had to divert through Cañar, said Andrea Morán, spokeswoman for the Guayaquil land terminal, who this Saturday reviewed the normal attention of the passengers.
Morán said that until Wednesday some 185,000 passengers are expected to leave Guayaquil through the city’s terminal. In addition, he commented that expectations are being met this holiday, which did not happen on past holidays, when he did not see so many people leaving the city.
At the Pascuales terminal, the activity was similar this weekend.
At least 890 buses leave each day from that station with about 30,000 passengers.
