The Bulgarian authorities are asking residents of the Black Sea regions of the country – Dobrich, Varna and Burgas – to be vigilant in connection with the danger of undermining ships on Ukrainian sea mines, torn from the minreps by a storm. If “suspicious spherical objects” are found in the water or on the shore, citizens are asked to report the incident to the emergency telephone number “112”.

TASS informs about this.

At the same time, the government press service reported on the adoption of all measures necessary to control the country’s maritime borders and the movement of ships in Bulgarian territorial waters, as well as the readiness to conduct special operations to neutralize dangerous objects.

Earlier, the Center for Public Relations (DSP) of the FSB reported that mines laid by the Ukrainian Navy on the approaches to ports in the Black Sea could drift towards the Bosphorus and the Mediterranean due to cable breaks. The statement of the department said that 420 anchor mines, produced in the first half of the 20th century, were installed in the Black Sea.
